“History of conduct disorders, oppositional defiance disorders, and other behavior disorders.”
“History of disorders with psychotic features such as schizophrenic disorders, delusional disorders, or other unspecified psychoses or mood disorders with psychotic features.”
“History of bipolar and related disorders (formerly identified as mood disorders not otherwise specified) including, but not limited to, cyclothymic disorders and affective psychoses.”
“History of somatic symptoms and related disorders.”
“Current diagnosis or history of gender dysphoria, or exhibit symptoms consistent with, gender dysphoria, as described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.”

Key Factors for Waiver Approval
- Cessation of medication use for at least 12 months
- Strong academic performance without accommodations (no IEP or 504 Plan)
- Positive evaluations from teachers or coaches indicating no impairment
- No comorbid conditions such as anxiety or depression
